Maybe you already know about it, but it's official now: we are working on a new Dunpets game. We called it Dunpets Colors and we'd like to show how it progresses in GGDevlog. So stay tuned!
In this first article, we are going to show you the six new support Dunpets for the game. We'll get one of them the first time we play the game. We hope you like them!
Before that, the game includes a new important thing: we added new types/elements to make battles more complex.
In Dungeon Pets we found four types and they defeated each others in a cicle (water, fire, wind, earth) and two special types (light and darkness).
On the left: original elements. On the right, new types for Dunpets Colors.
Dunpets Colors doubles the types amount combining the original ones. Each new type works as two of the original pack, although the actual relation is not that easy. We'll write about them in the next article.
The new Dunpets
We wanted to show the new types before, because all the new support Dunpets belong to the new elements: grass, fog, bolt, meteor, dragon, crystal, toxic and sacred. Although there are no support Dunpets for the two last elements (we're thinking about it!).
Below, you'll see the new Dunpets and a table with the type affinity. In other words, how easy would be to fight against a monster with each element.
Rosmadin is the support Dunpet of Fog element, that combines Water and Fire power. It's inspired by a walrus (from Latin, Odobenus rosmarus).
Suntrix is the support Dunpet of Bolt element, that combines Wind and Fire power. It's inspired by an owl (from Latin, Strix).
Zorne is the support Dunpet of Grass element, that combines Water and Earth power. It's inspired by a cactus, but its name refers to thorn.
Twiscell is the support Dunpet of Meteor element, that combines Wind and Earth power. It's inspired by a cell.
Dipopsy is the support Dunpet of Crystal element, that combines Light and Earth power. It's inspired by a gerbil (from Latin, Dipodinae).
Wigoat is the support Dunpet of Dragon element, that combines Darkness and Wind power. It's inspired by a goat.
That's all for today!
